• Lorem ipsum
  • Everything that fits in a moving box should be packed in a moving box..
  • Fold the boxes shut and write on the etiket with a marker what's in the box & which room the box goes to (e.g. “bedroom”).
  • All drawers & shelves of cabinets must be empty and the loose shelves removed.
  • Use enough wrapping paper, rather too much than too little.
  • Make sure everything is packed and ready on the moving day.
  • Remove all shelves/shelf supports from a cabinet.
  • Keep keys separate from cabinets.
  • Fill empty spaces in boxes with paper

BRING YOURSELF:

We strongly recommend that you bring your own house keys, passports, important papers, bank cards, medicines, jewellery, securities and other important items as hand luggage

General:
  • You can order two types of boxes from us, book boxes and moving boxes. The name says it all, the smaller book boxes are meant to pack books and other heavy items.
  • The following applies to both boxes: fill to the handles.
  • You may pack the boxes as full as possible (up to the handles) as long as it is done safely. Keep in mind that the moving box is not too heavy!
  • Try to put some heavier items at the bottom of the box and some lighter items at the top of the box.
  • Everything that is loose in cupboards, on tables, in window sills or hangs on the wall must be packed, if in doubt you can always contact us.

Crockery and glassware:
  • Glass, plates, crockery and porcelain must be individually wrapped in the wrapping paper provided.
  • Items that can be scratched, such as cutlery, silver, copper and brass, must also be wrapped in the supplied wrapping paper.
  • Place plates, flat dishes, saucers, glass slides, etc. on their sides in the moving box (with the bottom of the plates on the long side of the box, side to side).
  • Glasses and cups must be packed upright.
  • By working around the objects with crumpled paper, you ensure that the boxes / the items in the box cannot move.
  • Please do not place sharp objects (such as knives) near the handles.

Liquids:
  • Always pack bottles with liquids in a separate box and clearly state on the moving box that they contain liquids/cleaning products.
  • Make sure that all bottles, etc. containing liquids are tightly closed.
  • Bottles etc. containing liquids must be packed upright.
  • Clearly state on the box that it contains bottles with liquids.
  • Fill any empty spaces in the moving box with wrapping paper or empty plastic bags

  • Place heavier items in the bottom of the moving box.
  • Put pans together as much as possible, with paper between each pan for protection.
  • Always put cleaning agents in a separate box (see liquids section).
  • Make sure all packs, bottles and jars are tightly closed.
  • Empty the refrigerator and freezer as much as possible in the days before the move. You can pack the last things yourself on the moving day and take them with you.

Paintings, prints and photo frames:
  • Pack them together as much as possible. We recommend that you always wrap these items in bubble wrap for protection.
  • Place paintings front to front and back to back.

  • You should always remove the lampshades from the table lamps, etc. and pack them separately in a moving box u can leave the box open.

Television, computer and audio equipment::
  • You should remove the connectors from this equipment and tie the cords.
  • Put remote controls, loose wires and small peripherals together in a box.
  • If you have kept the original packaging, it is wise to pack the equipment in it. If this is not the case, the equipment must be packed in bubble wrap.
  • Take a picture of cords and plugs on devices with many connections, so you never forget how they were mounted

Blankets, duvets and sleeping bags:
  • You can pack blankets, duvets and sleeping bags in moving boxes or in garbage bags.
  • For mattresses we have a special mattress cover to transport them cleanly

Plants:
  • You can pack smaller plants together in an open box, make sure the plant pots are as dry as possible. Protect the jars with wrapping paper.
  • The larger plants are the last to go loose in the moving van.
  • If applicable: a few days before the move, cover the planters/pots that are outside in the garden or on the balcony so that no more water can reach them. This ensures that the planters/pots do not become too heavy and that no water can run out into the moving van.

Fridge and freezer:
  • Empty the refrigerator and freezer as much as possible in the days before the move. You can pack the last things yourself on the moving day and take them with you.
  • If possible, defrost and clean the freezer 1 or 2 days before moving.
  • Once your fridge and/or freezer is in the right place, you should wait about 24 hours before switching on your fridge and/or freezer. During the move, the liquid may end up in the top of the system, which in turn needs to stabilize before use.
