2. 4-2 weeks before the move.

| ☐ | Get rid of the things that don't move with you. |

3. 2 weeks before your move

| ☐ | Redeem (stamp) savings promotions at local retailers. |
| ☐ | Return library books. |
| ☐ | Important papers that are not immediately needed and store valuables in a (bank) safe. |
4. 1 Week before your move
| ☐ | Cleaning new house. |
| ☐ | Remove fixed lamps. |
| ☐ | Remove curtains (except in bedrooms). |
| ☐ | Notify suppliers. |
| ☐ | Pack things you no longer need. |
| ☐ | Get groceries in stock for the packing- and moving day. |
| ☐ | Purchase enough groceries for your new home. |
| ☐ | Arrange the disposal of bulky waste. |
| ☐ | Emptying and cleaning the garbage containers of the old house. |
| ☐ | Dispose of small chemical waste. |
5. 1 day before the move
| ☐ | Defrost and clean refrigerator. |
| ☐ | Defrost and clean the freezer. |
| ☐ | Secure the washing machine with it's drum protection. |
| ☐ | Disassemble furniture. |
| ☐ | Take the pendulum out of the clock and/or secure it. |
| ☐ | Keep space on the street for moving van. |
| ☐ | Pack last things. |
6. Movingday
| ☐ | Remove bedroom curtains. |
| ☐ | Store keys in a key pocket. |
| ☐ | Store money and debit cards separately in your hand luggage. |
| ☐ | Check the house for leftovers. |
| ☐ | Record (Gas and electricity) meter readings. |
| ☐ | Shut off gas and electricity if necessary. |
| ☐ | Drain the outside water supply in winter (even if it is not freezing). |
| ☐ | Close windows and doors. |
| ☐ | Hand over the keys to the old house. |
| ☐ | Say goodbye to your old neighbours. |
7. After arriving at my new home
| ☐ | Put everything in the right place as much as possible. |
| ☐ | Check all unpacked items for any damage. |
| ☐ | Make one room habitable as soon as possible. |
| ☐ | Hang bedroom curtains. |
| ☐ | Allow refrigerator and freezer to acclimatize for 1 day. |
| ☐ | Remove washing machine drum protection. |
8. After the move
| ☐ | Report the change of address to the municipality. |
